Fantastically built, it sticks to the ground at high speeds. The front seats have been designed to entice the travel savvy drivers. Great leg room, powerful engine, great built that keeps drivers guessing on the speed quotient. The speed supposedly touches 140 in no time. So drivers beware. Those of us who are not used to driving such powerful vehicles make sure you do not over speed.
The tires are quite good, in perfect harmony with the cars requirements. The doors open wide, as well as there's easy entry and exit. Power-packed air-conditioners, leaves you scurrying to set the AC at a medium space even in the hot afternoon. A small display in the dashboard provides you information on avg. speed, time since car started, etc. good fun for the curious minds. On the whole it's a great car, just cudve have thrown in the elctronics seats, ABS , the goodies, as available in some cars of the same class.
Owning the most powerful engine, Octavia Rider 1.8 Turbo (Petrol)
showcases technological and design expertise.
The body type is Sedan, the transmission type is manual, and the fuel type is diesel. Mileage-city is 8.8 kmpl. The maximum power is 150@5,700 (PS@rpm) and the maximum torque power is 21.4@1,750-4,600 (kgm@rpm). Rests of the features like AC, central locking, power steering are all standard with respect to other models.
After reading a whole lot of reviews, I went in for a test drive. And within no time, I bought this beauty. Itâs been awesome since then. Being 6'3" I was more concerned about the comfort element. However my fears gave away to fascination when I found the height adjustable seats and the lumbar support in the car. Before going for Octavia, I had even checked out Civic. And my feeling is that the civic is bit cramped. Octavia on the other hand is spacious and has good pick-up and speed that can compete with other cars from its ilks be it Accord, BMW or Mercs, which are of a different class altogether! However what keeps my adrenalin pumping, is the shell-shocked look on my fellow drivers vehicles when I zoom past them. What more.Find it for yourself.
As of now, I would like to close this review in just two words, simply fantastic.
