Skoda Superb is flagship model of Skoda and an automobile wonder. Just the look of it, makes you want it more than your next heartbeat. Available in diesel and petrol technologies, the variant seems to have pushed the envelope and carved an identity for itself in almost all the aspects of automobile designing. When it comes to the interiors, the large front and rear doors ensures that you can easily walk-in. Expansion of executive class limousine, with classic three compartment body, the model is also endowed with a generous boot space. Well-thought through details with respect to safety and security aspects, which includes six airbags for the driver and the co-passenger, superior anti-lock braking system and ESP, Electronic Stabilization System which controls over steering and under steering during manoeuvre. Excellent quality, second to none, has won Superb numerous awards like 2005 Overdrive' car of the year, CNBC, TV18 Autocar, Viewers choice' and Design of the year awards' and for 2006 CNBC TV 18, Autocar.
It is perfect combination of good performance, safety & luxury. It is built for better fuel efficiency. The body type is sedan, the fuel type is diesel, and the mileage-city is 8.2 kmpl.
I was looking up for a car in the 23 - 30 lakh segment, but not SUV. So we had only two options, either a Mercedes C class or the Skoda Superb (however i had zeroed in on AUDI A6 but it seemed way out of the budget). Moreover, C class also didn’t figure in the wanted list as I had a strong feeling that you own a Mercedes just to exhibit your status symbol.
So naturally we boiled downed to newly launched Skoda Superb 2.5 deisel (automatic/techtronic gears). Few of the glittering goodies and gizmos of this great car include awesome legroom, front and back. The car touches 200 easily on the Mumbai-Pune expressway (do not go beyond, if you want to remain sane). Also there is an Umbrella drier under the armrest. Well the comforts of the car are equivalent to that of an E 270. It’s a luxurious car with value for money.
The car being a diesel car gives an average of 10 in the city and approximately around 13-14 on the highway which is fabulous for such a heavy duty car.
Simply put...the superb is definitely value for money and it is a million times better than the C 180/ C 200 / C 220
