After testing the Bose Companion 2 and Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 I felt both lacked a few things to warrant the extra cost. The Bose felt under powered while the Klipsch had relatively poor build quality (for the price). So I bit the bullet and bought the Gigaworks T40 by Creative and so far I must say I'm blown away. The build quality, compactness & clarity are all remarkable. These don't come with a subwoofer but produce sufficient bass from the top of the speakers. When placed correctly, the sound from these little beauties fill an average sized room very well. I primarily listen to rock, vocals & instrumental. So these are perfect for me. If you are hip hop or r&b listeners and love your bass, I suggest you look at Gigaworks speakers with a sub. But I personally don't miss a sub. I paired these with a set of Razer gaming headphones and those sound great too. All in all, I couldn't be happier. Finally, a word about Infibeam: This was my first order from this site & the service was flawless. Prompt, hassle-free and quick. Will be shopping here again most definitely.
