The Gigaset A490 has wonderful features and conveniences, I really liked the design and aesthetics of the phone but the reception is average but has good battery backup.

This set from Siemens is superb......i m using this from last 4 month & its best phone i have ever used.......... it looks very nice......sleek just like a mobile phone.....build quality is good with glossy finish....very good at this price.......sound & voice quality is very nice & you get the option of increasing or decreasing depending upon your requirement....80 nos can be stores in phonebook memory which is of good help in this age..... one more advantage with this phone is you can expan this phone upto 4 handsets so you can take additional handsets any time as per your requirment. Overall at such good price with all this features & to top it up 2 Years warranty makes this a must buy for anyone looking for a basic cordless. Go for it.......Highly recommended.....

This Gigaset phone by Siemens is by far the best phone i have ever used.......to top it up it comes at an excellent price.... the phone has all one needs in a cordless phone....good looks....nice build quality......excellent sound & ringer volume....decent range covers my 3bhk house.....good battery time......there are lot of other features as well like alarm funcion, keypad lock (child lock), ringer volume mute etc although i dont use them much. 1 more good thing abt this phone is u can expand upto 4 more handsets by buying the same phone....so even after using for few months if i have a need of additional cordless i can buy the same phone & register it on the main base to get additoonal handset with intercom facility... i found the manual incomplete & was not explaining as i would have liked so had to do lots of trial & error...so apart from manual rest all the functions are perfectly fine. overall its a good phone for basic requirement.....so anyone looking at a basic phone just go for it.......highly recommended

Hello, I am using this phone by Siemens & i must say its the best phone i have ever used. Amazing to see the rates here in magic box today. I think its a steal at this price. Abt the phone....its has very Good sound quality & range which works well in my 3BHK flat. Looks are very cute....n build quality is excellent....Germans are master in manufacturing & this product is a prime example. Rest there are many other features like 80 entry phone book, 10 ringer melodies, alarm, mute, child lock etc which works just fine. Highly recommended......if you are looking for cordless just go Siemens Gigaset A490.
