Affording "superior overall crash protection among vehicles in its class," the all-new Infiniti EX35 has earned an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety TOP SAFETY PICK award for 2008, their highest honor.
In describing the Institute's tough award criteria, “intended to drive continued safety improvements such as top crash test ratings and rapid addition of electronic stability control (ESC)," Institute president Adrian Lund praised the EX35 as a "leader in its class for state-of-the-art-safety," specifically mentioning Infiniti's inclusion of Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) - an ESC system - on every EX35. According to Institute research, ESC helps drivers maintain control in the worst situation - loss of control at high speed - lowering the risk of a fatal single-vehicle crash by about half and the risk of a fatal rollover crash by as much as 80 percent.
