Nardo 3 extreme car sports a Glasurit finish in Geneva

For over ten years, Sportservice Lorinser from Winnenden in South Germany and Glasurit have been partners. Marcus Lorinser’s loyalty to Glasurit is clear: “At my bodyshop, Glasurit is the only way to go." This loyalty was underscored by a joint appearance of the two partners at the Geneva International Motor Show. The Glasurit logo and the brand’s mascot, the plush parrot, had places of honor at the booth. But all eyes were on four cars that had been refinished and tuned with Glasurit paints, setting visitors’ hearts aflutter.

The star of the luxury vehicles was the Lorinser SL Class Nardo 3 based on the Mercedes Benz SL 600. Clad in a silver mat finish, the Nardo 3 was not only the most extreme vehicle at the Lorinser trade show booth, it was the fastest car in the Mercedes tuning company’s current portfolio. That comes as no surprise, since the SL, which at 660 horsepower reaches a top speed of 325 kilometers per hour, gets its name from the legendary Nardo high-speed racetrack in southern Italy. The perfect synthesis of sportiness and luxury is also demonstrated by the interior, which creates an atmosphere of comfort and well-being. A limited edition of only 50 vehicles is planned, and all of them will be wearing a Glasurit finish.

Bernd Sessner of Glasurit provided support to Lorinser during the selection of paints. Marcus Lorinser was thrilled. "The Nardo 3 in particular, with its brilliant silver and mat clearcoat is a real highlight." He has observed a general trend toward mat finishes among car show visitors and his customers. “There’s a big demand for mat, since it stands for individualization and is really a cut above,” the company owner says.

The Lorinser S Class L 55 GS based on the Mercedes Benz S 500 L is distinguished, luxurious and sporty. The silver Lorinser GL Class based on the Mercedes Benz GL 420 CDI attracted the visitors’ attention as well. The highly representative vehicle features a sporty and luxurious interior. And the Lorinser C Class T model based on the Mercedes Benz C 320 T CDI made its first live appearance too; prior to the show, this model had existed solely as a virtual study. At the Geneva Motor Show, the model debuted with the Lorinser signature. The four cars all had something in common: a Glasurit finish from Münster.

After Geneva, Lorinser is planning appearances at the Automechanika and the International Motor Show (IAA), both of which take place in Frankfurt. This means that the next presentation will be at the Automechanika in Frankfurt from September 16 to 21 – featuring vehicles refinished with Glasurit, naturally.
