FTE Automotive presents CP 1 unit in Stuttgart

From 6 to 8 May 2008, automotive supplier FTE automotive will be presenting its latest developments at the "Vehicle Dynamics Expo" in Stuttgart, Germany.

The "Vehicle Dynamics Expo" is the trade fair that showcases the latest components and systems relating to chassis, suspension, steering, braking, and ride and handling technologies. A large international group of visitors from the automotive trade will be catching up on the latest products and innovations from the sector.

For three days, the FTE stand (No. 3232) in Hall 3 will be the place to go for anyone who wants to get a good understanding of the latest state of technology in the fields of hydraulic brake and clutch systems.

One highlight of the product range offered by FTE automotive is the electro-hydraulic actuator CP1 (controlled piston), that visitors can see in live action at the stand. This CP1 unit enables fast, dynamic, hydraulic controls. The unit stands out due to its high overall efficiency, high dynamics and integrated electronics. The high dynamics and large pressure range (up to 200 bar) make the unit ideal for automation tasks in the field of automated manual transmissions, in double clutch transmissions and as a clutch actuator in hybrid vehicles.

In addition, visitors can see for themselves the selection of innovative and cost-effective distance and position sensors that the company has successfully postioned in the market for several years now. FTE sensors are made from high temperature resistant materials and are extremely reliable.

FTE automotive will also hand out information on the in-house, highly modern inertia dynamometer for motorcycle and automobile disk brakes that recently started operation in the FTE plant in Ebern. With this dynamometer, FTE automotive will be able to offer its customers development services (engineering services) and QS tests of brake pads, hydraulic disk brakes and drum brakes.
