Advance Auto Parts appoints VP of Operations Support & VP of Sales Development

ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts, Inc, a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, batteries, accessories, and maintenance items, today announced the appointments of Dave Hamilton as Vice President, Operations Support and Dan Peterson as Vice President, Sales Development.

Mr. Hamilton will be responsible for labor productivity, store operations support and will lead the efforts to enable a superior customer experience. Mr. Peterson will be responsible for building the Company's sales development capabilities that will provide tools to increase solution selling to meet the unique needs of customers. Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Peterson will both report to Mike Marolt, Senior Vice President, Customer Operations Excellence Officer.

“I am very excited to have both Dave and Dan joining the Advance Team,” said Marolt. “Dan and Dave both bring a significant amount of retail experience from several national retailers and their leadership and experience will be a huge asset to us.”

Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Hamilton most recently served as Director, Project Resource Group for Best Buy. Before that, Mr. Hamilton served in various Loss Prevention and retail management positions for Best Buy, Claire's Stores and Toys R-Us. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Peterson most recently served as the Southeast District Manager, for Toys-R-Us. Mr. Peterson also served in a variety of retail management positions at Best Buy. Mr. Peterson holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
