Hong Kong - Samsung today unveiled its showcase including the Samsung OMNIA along with a variety of new product lineups at CommunicAsia 2008, 
The diversity of products and technologies presented reinforces Samsung’s position as a design-led, forward-thinking company that fuels consumers’ demands for innovative new technologies and lifestyle changing needs under its new slogan, ‘a Mobile for Every Lifestyle.’

Products and Technologies to be highlighted:
Samsung OMNIA, officially announced a week before, makes its global launch at CommunicAsia 2008. Samsung OMNIA, meaning ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic, goes beyond the current top-of-the-line features available in today’s mobile phones. It brings together high performance digital contents, top-of-the-range style as well as a fun and dynamic multimedia experience to ensure that consumers are always connected both at home and at work.
Following its debut at CommunicAsia, the OMNIA will be commercially launched in the Southeast Asian market starting from this week. The phone will be available in the European market from July and on.
Samsung has also introduced the Soulb and L700 – two premium bar type phones that offer both impeccable style and outstanding features, to raise the standard for bar type handsets available in the market today. The launch of the Soulb and L700 reinforces Samsung’s established leadership in developing stylish, full-featured mobile phones across a variety of form factors including the slider, clamshell and bar.

Samsung will also demonstrate the latest development of Mobile WiMAX technology at CommunicAsia 2008. The technologies exhibited during the event include Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) over Mobile WiMAX and various Mobile WiMAX base station selections.

The new VoIP service demonstrates an excellent voice quality and high-speed internet to attract numerous telecom operators who have been seeking after new revenue sources based on high-speed data communications. The Access Service Network (ASN) system demonstration will unveil two newly developed systems ‘U-RAS Flexible’ and ‘U-RAS Light Series 3’. Using these systems, service providers will be able to facilitate integrated services such as quadruple play service, which will ultimately lead to the improvement in Mobile WiMAX networks as well as the enlargement of service coverage.
