Mercedes-Benz rewards top performing dealers in Beijing

Beijing - Mercedes-Benz recently gathered over 100 dealer representatives in Beijing on the occasion of the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Family Dinner 2008, which is held annually. Mercedes-Benz rewarded the top performing dealers in each region during the year of 2007 during the Family Dinner. Nine Mercedes-Benz concessionary dealers were awarded the title of 'best dealers' 'Best CSI' or 'Best SSI', as the recipients of the highest scores for comprehensive performance of Financial, New Care Sales, Service & Parts, Customer satisfaction of Sales and After-sales, and Dealer Standard, sales satisfaction index (SSI) or after-sales customer satisfaction index (CSI). 2007 was a record year for the star company filled with numerous outstanding achievements, not only in terms of its rapid growth in the Chinese market (53%), but also its high degree of customer satisfaction with its innovative 'Star Services'. Mercedes-Benz set a benchmark for the industry ranking top in the J. D. Power Asia Pacific 2007 SSI and CSI studies. These prime accomplishments from Mercedes-Benz dealers are the result of a sound dealership system and long-term commitment to bringing only top-quality products and thriving with global standard processes running across all organizational levels to ensure success.

Customer satisfaction and recognition is the basis for our future. In order to maintain the highest standards in the quality of service, Mercedes-Benz has designed a long-term comprehensive program influencing all corporate levels in order to enhance the implementation of improved service tactics and processes, striving for top customer satisfaction on a global scale. The company has set up a special team to guide and assist dealers in improving sales and after-sales service levels by providing advisory services and professional training, while at the same time, inviting experts to conduct SSI and CSI surveys throughout the dealerships. All of this is to ensure that each Mercedes-Benz car owner enjoys superior quality service and care from the decision-making process of purchasing a star car, to the sale moment, all through to any necessary after-sales assistance, rejoicing on the essence of owning a Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz also plans to implement a road emergency service throughout mainland China this year. The service will include free connection to the national rescue hotline, 24 hours a day, 365 days, encompassing road emergencies, street repairs as well as emergency travel itineraries. The launch of the road emergency service applies to all cars sold through Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers after March 1st, 2007. The service will run for 2 years from the start of the warranty period. This move together with other measures taken by Mercedes-Benz will effectively improve after-sales service in mainland China.

With perseverance and commitment to continuously improve customer service, along with new product launches - the all new C-class and the SLK PASSION 08 Limited Edition - Mercedes-Benz has successfully turned a new page in its legacy in the Chinese market. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz authorized dealerships in China with a noted increase to 100 dealers around the country, augmenting the extension and expansion of the brand's reach.
