  Fantastic teenage fiction from a prolific writer

  As I was browsing the shelves of a local bookshop, I changed upon this book by Eoin Colfer. It's a great book for teenagers and above, and you can even get this book for your 11 year old son or daughter. I bet if you have ever read the Artemis Fowl series, you are going to like this adventurous story. The story is set in the 19th century and is about a boy who is born in the air. The family is traveling over Paris in a balloon, but it is forced to land. While landing the boy Conor Broekhart is born. This boy is a genius in all rights. He manages to save the daughter of Nicholas - the ruler of the Saltees islands where the Broekhart family lives by making a makeshift glider and gets knighted for it. Isabella becomes Conor's sweetheart. As the story progresses, a villain called Bonvilain manages to outsmart Conor and confine his to a ghastly prison. Bonvilain also kills Nicholas and Conor's tutor Victor. Does Conor manage to get even with Bonvilain? What happens next is for the readers to discover for themselves. All in all it's a beautiful creation with elements of romance, thrill, and adventure along with a lot of fiction. The fact that Conor is able to fly takes place much before areoplanes were actually invented. This book is sure to rival Artemis fowl in terms of success and sales.
