Read the definitive edition of Bilbo Baggins' adventures in middle-earth in this classic bestseller behind this year's biggest movie.
The Hobbit is a tale of high adventure, undertaken by a company of dwarves in search of dragon-guarded gold. A reluctant partner in this perilous quest is Bilbo Baggins, a comfort-loving unambitious hobbit, who surprises even himself by his resourcefulness and skill as a burglar.
Encounters with trolls, goblins, dwarves, elves and giant spiders, conversations with the dragon, Smaug, and a rather unwilling presence at the Battle of Five Armies are just some of the adventures that befall Bilbo.
Bilbo Baggins has taken his place among the ranks of the immortals of children's fiction. Written by Professor Tolkien for his own children, The Hobbit met with instant critical acclaim when published.
Love the world of imagination that LOTR has to offer and since Hobbit is like a pro-lougue to it I ordered this book and its really worth reading. Thanks infibeam for nice discount and delivering it right at my doorstep.
This book is surely a must read for all the LOTR fans. This book is actually a prequel to the set of LOTR books so it is always better to have read this first. The story is smartly written because it doesn't reveal any secrets or important details of the other parts yet serves as a good beginning for all that adventure that is to follow.
The film tie-in edition this great classic fantasy is a good bargain by all means. For those who already have read the Lord of the Rings, but couldn't get hands on The Hobbit - this edition is perfect. Good binding, great cover and attractive price. For those who are ready to embark on a journey of Middle Earth, this book is the perfect place to start...as it's the start of the saga. Also try reading 'The Silmarillion', after 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' . Infibeam, thank you!
