Guide you to find inner strength and potential. It tells you that wisdom can't be transferred, only knowledge can be transferred.Wisdom can be obtained by looking into own self and by practice meditation. As rightly said a person can't live fully Sansar life nor the Nirvana Life , its the medium path between the two and author shares his experience while living both lives.
Best book for people who are in search of a good book like Fountainhead this will work. And dont compare Siddhartha with Gautam Buddha.
This is a brilliant journey. Siddhartha is probably one of the finest philosophical books i've ever read. Herman Hesse really does know what to say to connect with the mind at once. This is not a religious journey at all. It is a journey to find one's self. Must read. Everybody!
I thought the book is about Buddha. But I was totally wrong. It was the story of a boy, named Siddhartha - like the title of the book - and how he reached his final goal - Nirvana... Note: Not recommended to everyone. The book has an higher meaning and it confuses and bores you to no end, if you dont understand the basic concept of Enlightenment... Hermann Hesse is a genius writer...
Its an eye opener!!.The moment you read this book you will be flooded with thoughts and lots of questions raised on your philosophy of life.Herman hesse has portrayed the fictitious character siddhartha in an excellent manner.
