He already knew how to speak the Om silently, the word of words, to speak it silently into himself while inhaling, to speak it silently out of himself while exhaling, with all the concentration of his soul, the forehead surrounded by the glow of the clear-thinking spirit. He already knew to feel Atman in the depths of his being, indestructible, one with the universe.

  Hermann Hesse is a genius writer...

  I thought the book is about Buddha. But I was totally wrong. It was the story of a boy, named Siddhartha - like the title of the book - and how he reached his final goal - Nirvana... Note: Not recommended to everyone. The book has an higher meaning and it confuses and bores you to no end, if you dont understand the basic concept of Enlightenment... Hermann Hesse is a genius writer...

  Though the first chapter "The Brahmin's Son" (of Part one) will lead you like written with dictionary referenced wordings.......but as you go on reading......it's a real piece of enlightment and inspiration (altogether)........I won't call it beautifully written......but written in such an arranged manner......that you real one paragraph within 2 mins and think about it (referencing with your personal life and thoughts) the other five minutes.......deserves being the bestseller......people 'in need of TRUE HAPPINESS', 'EASILY BORED', 'need MENTAL SUPPORT', 'seeking for a piece of well written LITERATURE' should grab the same at once........the paper quality is fine-tuned with the literature style (offering yu a vedic sence)..........((^_^))
