The book maintains its pace throughout - not just in the story topic but the way the story was narrated. The plot of the story is good. I would say it’s a must read for the readers who want to relive their growing phase (childhood). I am really looking forward to reading other books by Aditya.
âChamps of Devgarhâ turned out to be one of the few âunputdownableâ books that I have read. Aditya has beautifully captured the emotions and turbulence of our teen years. The action-packed story is full of interesting people and incidents that one might have encountered during oneâs school days. With cricket as the backdrop, the story teaches us how one can realize oneâs hidden potentials and follow oneâs dreams. Be it the protagonist Aakash or the Bollywood hero Sharat Kumarâtheir lives are centered on following oneâs dreams. We all are born with different qualities and personalitiesâso itâs important for us to discover the work we are born to do. Thatâs what this story tells us. A must read in every sense of the word!
Readers are instantly drawn to the story; one feels as though one is watching a film where there is no certainty about what might happen the next moment. The novel has an old world charm to it. The writer has woven several sub-plots into the main story. Each sub-plot highlights and brings home an important lesson in life. Once you start reading the book, i bet, you can't leave it till you have reached its last page. Another thing--readers of all age groups, and both boys and girls will be able to relate to the story.
