About the Book :
A quirky doff of the hat to that fascinating beast, Mumbaiyya Hindi. Much more than a tongue-incheek dictionary of Bombay-Hindi words such as bhai, bakra and pandu, Cutting Chai and Maska Pao is also an account of the social mores of Indias Maximum City. Words like khau galli, nimbu mirchi, Italian barbers and size zero each illustrate a part of the citys living culture. The book is enlivened by evocative photographs taken by the authors themselves a personal take on the city that they all love passionately.
