Land of Seven Rivers
An excellent review of the history of India from antiquity to the present in dots and dashes; Easy and absorbing to read. A book worth including in one's library and recommendable to one who wants an impartial bird's eye-view of Indian History. There are some bloomers such as page 76 where Krishna is mentioned as the King of Yadavas, whereas Krishna was never a king. Th Mahabharata is quite emphatic about it. The Yadava's Narayana-sena of Krishna actually reported to King Shurasena as the Monarch and Dwaraka was Ruled by Balarama. But Krishna was de-facto the uncrowned ruler as He councelled to both, nay all the Yadava clans. Good book.
