In a cobweb of highly uncommon and difficult vocabulary, this book continues to keep you connected. The plot is not unique, yet Anurag has written in a way that the reader is glued to the book till it ends. Quite interesting and total value for money. Wish all the best for Anurag!
Anurag has the ability to write beautiful sentences. It was an easy read. He focussed on the frustration Akash re his work and his marital relation without plunging into the romance and all. But the ending wasin a hurry. It seemed he used the facebook to end the story and it was a contrived. The book is immensely readable that it will even please the jaded reader. I finished it in two sitting.
Every individual caught in the tussle between his career and personal life (tragically a majority today) will find a lot to relate to in this story. The relatioship between Akash and Deepali is beautifully portrayed and the character i loved the most was that of Monisha, an individual that you can find around you in every office.
THE QUEST FOR NOTHING is not only the story of Akash, but the story of all those who have been trapped in the mad race; at the stake of their family, their personality, their leisure, comforts, their social and personal life. in the beginning Anurag seems to make the reader exhausted with the artificial language that he has used, but, as you go ahead, you find yourself engrossed in his life. reader is compelled to finish the novel in one or two sittings. Deepali is a working lady who acts wisely and reasonably to avoid the upcoming dilemma. the journey of Akash is from innocence to an unreal world that flings him down on the earth, but he is back as a maturer and wiser person, having tasted the bitter part of his life and career.
