SanDisk, head quartered in America, is the company founded by three people belonging to three different countries – China, India and Israel. The Company got it's name 'SunDisk' by Harari's (Founder) young daughter who suggested a name that sounds cheerful and sunny. Later, in the year 1995, the name was changed into SanDisk.

It was the first company in the world to ship the 64Mb MLC NOR Flash chip, Flash memory cards with 64Gb X4 NAND Flash technology and first ever to introduce the high volume MLC. Respecting the cultural diversity, the company has been working with schools and community groups in K-12 grades and has even donated $33M to over 1,400 organizations worldwide, with a particular focus on improving education.
